A total of eight projects aimed at promoting sustainable tourism and biodiversity in the Czech Republic have received funding of CZK 1.08 billion from the second phase of the Swiss-Czech Cooperation Programme. Their official implementation was launched on Wednesday, April 23, in Prague at a meeting between representatives of the Ministry of the Environment and the project implementers.
The evaluation process of the second call, for projects under the so-called Small Grants Scheme within the Sustainable Tourism and Enhancing Biodiversity Programme, has been successfully completed.
The evaluation process of the first call, for so-called large projects over CZK 70 million under the Sustainable Tourism and Enhancing Biodiversity Programme, has been successfully completed.
On August 20, 2024, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) issued the Support Measure Set-Up on the Support Measure Sustainable Tourism and Enhancing Biodiversity. This framework came into effect on October 1, 2024, officially marking the start of the program's implementation.
