Prague, 16 September 2026 – To mark the launch of projects supported under the Second Swiss Contribution to selected EU Member States (the ‘Swiss Contribution’), a launch conference for the Czech-Swiss Research Infrastructure Initiative was held on 16 September 2026 in the Baroque refectory of the Dominican Monastery in Prague. 

Last week, the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS in Prague hosted a visit by Swiss partners, attended by representatives of the National Coordination Unit, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, and other collaborating organizations. The main item on the agenda was the presentation of the project “SACA-ACTRIS – State of the Art Characterization of Atmosphere: Aerosols and Reactive Trace Gases” which is being implemented by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. The program also included a guided tour of the laboratories and the outdoor measuring station.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, acting as the Programme Operator for the Czech-Swiss Research Infrasctructure Initiative Programme, has published the results of Call 8K2502.

ELI Beamlines hosted the ceremonial opening of the SwissELITE Project, marking the official start of a strategic collaboration between ELI ERIC and key Swiss partners, including the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). 

On July 31, 2025, the Ministry od Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) who acts as the Programme Operator of the Czech-Swiss Research Infrastructure Initiative informed on their website about the result of the call No 8K2501 from June 12, 2025, aimed at submitting a pre-defined project.
