On 9 September 2026, a kick-off meeting was held for the beneficiaries of projects supported under Call SC_25_001 – Social Integration of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic. It was an important milestone in launching the implementation of the supported projects and provided space for the beneficiaries to get to know one another, share experience and establish cooperation.

A total allocation of CZK 260 million will be distributed among 17 supported projects under the call. The supported projects focus on strengthening the social integration of foreign nationals and supporting their active participation in Czech society.

Support that makes a difference

The Call is part of the Swiss-Czech Cooperation Programme – Second Swiss Contribution and responds to the need to strengthen social cohesion and create conditions for the successful integration of foreign nationals in the Czech Republic.

The supported projects focus, for example, on social and professional counselling, therapeutic and crisis support, work with families and children, mentoring, prevention of domestic violence and other activities supporting social inclusion.

The common goal of these projects is to help foreign nationals better navigate the Czech environment, access available services and become part of everyday life.

The kick-off meeting: the beginning of cooperation

The meeting provided beneficiaries not only with an opportunity to present their individual projects, but also to obtain practical information essential for their successful implementation.

The agenda included an overview of administrative and methodological requirements, responses to beneficiaries’ questions, and an exchange of experience. Meeting other beneficiaries in person also provided a valuable opportunity to establish contacts and discuss expectations related to project implementation.

Working together for successful project implementation

The projects are now entering the stage of practical implementation. An important part of this process will be ongoing cooperation between the beneficiaries, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and other partners involved in the Programme.

The aim is not only to successfully implement the individual project activities, but also to share experience, find common solutions and make the most of the projects for the benefit of the target groups.

The kick-off meeting thus marked the first step on a journey towards achieving the objectives of the Call and translating the support into tangible results in practice.
The projects will be implemented until 30 November 2028.
