Implementation Period: July 2025 – June 2028
Total Budget: 135 982 000 Kč (approx. 5,2 mil. CHF)
The COMPASS project addresses the need to build a fair and sustainable financing system for home care in the Czech Republic.
Its main objective is to develop a functional classification system for home care and community-based care cases that takes into account both the complexity and cost of individual care situations. The project will also focus on the creation of clinical guidelines and quality indicators to establish professional standards for home care provision across the system.
A key element of the project is the establishment of a reference network of care providers across regions and specializations. This network will collect real-world data on the actual costs of specific care cases. Based on this data, a new reimbursement model will be designed -one that reflects not only the costs but also the quality of care delivered.
To improve orientation for patients, caregivers, and professionals, the project will develop a catalogue of health and social services, complemented by an interactive map showing the availability of home care services.
The project is implemented in collaboration with professional organizations and draws on the expertise of partners from Switzerland.
